Who is responsible
The data controller is Softedge AS, org. no. 927 857 898, registered at Darres gate 14, 0175 Oslo, and located at Industriens og Eksportens Hus (Indekshuset), Henrik Ibsens gate 100, 0256 Oslo. Questions about privacy go to privacy@softedge.eu.
Cookies and browser storage
We set no cookies, first-party or third-party. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking script on this site. Fonts, images and code are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact anyone else to render the pages.
One page stores a single value in your browser's local storage: the best score in the small game at /runway. It contains no personal data, never leaves your browser, and you can clear it through your browser settings. That is why there is no cookie banner here. There is nothing to consent to.
What we collect, and why
Contact form. Name, email, company and your message. We use them to answer you and, if it goes further, to prepare an engagement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Pitch deck form. Name, email, company, your message and the link to your deck. We use them to evaluate the investment opportunity you are presenting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in assessing companies that approach us (article 6(1)(f)).
Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, time, requested page and browser type of each request, as every web server does, to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept briefly and are not used to identify visitors.
We do not use your data for marketing and we do not sell it.
Who processes it for us
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States) receives and stores form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States) hosts the site and produces the server logs described above.
Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we rely on that certification and their standard data processing terms for transfers outside the EEA.
The "Book a call" links on the About page take you to Calendly, and the LinkedIn icons to LinkedIn. Those are separate sites with their own privacy notices; nothing is shared with them until you click.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and decks are kept for as long as we need to respond and follow up, and deleted within twelve months unless a client or investment relationship follows. Then they become part of that relationship's records.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Email privacy@softedge.eu and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.no.
Changes
If we add anything that changes what this page says, such as analytics, we will update it and the date at the top.
